Porter's Wine was created in July 2008 as a way to help people to try more, new, and different wines.
It is headed up by M. Cole Chilton, a freelance wine writer and general manager/buyer for T.B. Ackerson Wine Merchants based in New York City.
Porter's main activities are:

Providing online wine tasting classes tailored to local stores and some national chains, e.g., Trader Joe's.

Hosting traditional, in-person wine tastings for both the general public, private parties, restaurants, bars, and corporate events.

Teaching wine tasting classes on-site for the general public, restaurant/bar staff training, and corporate events.

Organizing a wine club for the greater wine-loving community.

Curating wine lists for restaurants, bars, events, and private parties.
